And God saw everything he had made, and, behold it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were the sixth day....
And like every beast of the earth
And like every fowl of the air
And in everything that creepeth upon the earth there is life
And I like all of these I will look to him
And I see my Lord in the distance
And I put my hands together to pray
And even though like all of these I am surrounded by what is dark
And by what would want to pull me down
And like all of these I am unafraid
And though I am tiny in my lady bug dress
And I with my hair that is long and brown
And with my cheeks flushed with color I look to him
And I know I have no need to rely on my own strength
I have my Savior in my sight and with all my might I follow him
so yesterday when star got home from school i showed her the picture prompt from monday's child in the hopes that we could work out a little poem... well honestly she was quite frightened of this picture, "what are they in? what are they looking at? where are they going? how will they get out?" so i asked her just to look at the girl and describe her... so she contributed the long brown hair, rosy cheeks and the lady bug dress, so i showed her the lines i found in genesis this morning and she was happy with how it turned out.....
Love this Sarah - it's quite lovely and knowing it is a collaboration makes it just that much more special. Bravo friend.
ReplyDeleteWell I can see you and Star came up with a wonderful piece that like a prayer - can teach children that they are never alone and that God is always with them....love it - I can just see her in her Lady Bug dress - thank you so much for this great write - you are teaching her to take her imagination to new heights....lovely...bkm
